August 24, 200719 yr He wasn't actually driving - more like sleeping in his car - negative breath test would indicate drugs more than booze - will be interesting to see what the urine turns up http://sports.aol.com/fanhouse/2007/...rged-with-dui/
August 24, 200719 yr Jesus, this guy just doesn't get it. Every opportunity/chance he has had he has messed up in some way. As a Buc fan this irritates me because he was doing well in practice and pre-season but as a citizen it annoys me even more because I don't get why it is so hard when you are intoxicated or inebriated to stay the hell away from your vehicle or someone elses. If they haven't already, people will forget how good this guy was in college. I saw him play in person 3 or 4 times during his career at tOSU. Stop making a mockery of your talent.
August 24, 200719 yr Boston was most likely going to be the #2 guy behind Galloway too. If it is indeed drugs, I think he is in line for an 8 game suspension and probably will be cut. Sad.
August 24, 200719 yr Author circumstance seems bizarre - then again this is david boston, the same guy who once asked defenders to not hit him in practice because it iritated his nipple rings..................
August 25, 200719 yr 1st of all, the blood/urine test will show if he did anything. Simple as that. 2nd of all, the cop was doing his job. 3rd, I don't know if I could half those test at 3 in the afternoon when i am perfectly fine. Finally, whether he was drunk, high, tired, or perfect Boston was acting like a jackass.
August 25, 200719 yr You know he'd have saved himself a lot of trouble if when the cop denied him the right to speak to his attorney he refused the field sobriety test. Take the arrest, but make the case hard (if not impossible) to prosecute.

August 25, 200719 yr don't they have to determine a basis to draw blood Boston said when the guy tried to give him a field test in the first place he would do a blood test because of his legs.
August 25, 200719 yr Author don't think that's his choice to make not sure about FL - but most places i've lived they need a reason to pull you over (in this case he was sleeping in his car) they need a reason to suspect influence to perform a field sobriety test (sleeping in car) then if you fail the field test they can perform more conclusive tests it will be interesting what the urine test shows (i think there is a decent chance it will be fairly clean........) i believe he could of just flat out refused the field tests, been arrested and then either have a different level of testing after arrest and face a stiff initial penalty (like in NY you lose your license if you refuse to test)
September 7, 200719 yr Pinellas Park, Florida - The Pinellas Park Police Department has received the results of Bucs wide receiver David Boston's urine test. Boston was arrested and charged with driving under the influence back on August 23 when a police officer found him passed out at the wheel of his SUV. The receiver's breathalyzer test proved clean, but the results of a urine test were still pending until today. Pinellas Park police will not release what substance was found in Boston's urine, but say the State Attorney's office is still proceeding with the DUI charge. http://www.tampabays10.com/news/local/arti...x?storyid=62742 Cut him now.
