Sorry, my nerdiness just has power over me sometimes.

no one doubted his potential or talent. in fact i dont even know if there were doubts. at some point he was gonna kick it into gear. maybe not this soon. but the chosen one picked him first. its just that he was hurt for the first month and then god awful for half a season and that led to bashing, but not doubts, at least for me.

There were plenty of doubters and haters as well...Does Hermierda ring any bells? Many felt he was a total bust

 

that has nothing to do with his potential. and personally, i never called him hermierda or said to send him down. he sucked for a while but the amazing potential was still there. nobody serious about this thought that hermida didn't have the tools to be great.

now only if he can improve his defense

 

Outfield defense is overrated. Not saying it's unimportant, but it's definitely overrated.

I'll admit it. I wasn't 100% sold on him after last year and after this preseason. But I never called him a bust and I don't remember anyone else using that term, either.

 

Awesome to see he's finally living up to his potential.

 

By the way, he's also riding a 9 game hitting streak and he's hit three home runs in his past 10 games. :notworthy

I don't remember calling him a bust or anything for that matter, but I thought he might be. Even with obvious tools, anyone could see how his injuries and poor performance could have got to him. Yea I have to admit I was a doubter for a while.

 

He has done well lately. Maybe he will improve his fielding with a stable full off-season like Willingham has
