Umpires - G2

Featured Replies

Haven't read every post, but I'm surprised to not see one dedicated to the s****y umpiring in Game 2.

Soriano's foot was clearly off the bag on that force play that would've given the Fish first and second no outs. Instead, they double up Pudge to end the inning.

The Cabrera foul ball was pretty blatant as well. Where was the 3rd-base ump? C'mon - a double play on a foul ball with your #4 hitter up? Where's the reaction - either from Cabrera or the 3rd-base coach or McKeon or ...?

Aren't these the sorts of things that cause more volatile/excitable managers to put the game under protest?

I just got the feeling tonight that the Fish were content with the Game 1 victory and the early 3-0 deficit just took the wind out of their sails...

I thought the Soriano was similiar to the break umps give on a dp. We may have received a break when Pudge threw out Garcia at 3rd-so it even out.

protest means nothing-never heard of it in a world series also

Two blown calls just don't matter much in the face of a 6-0 whitewash.

Maybe it's a new Marlins curse??? I think I'm going to go to the Ump's house and threaten him.

AND... early in the game Redman was NOT getting the inside strike, while Pettitte was. Which made Redman pitch right down the middle. Which in turn made our hitter swing at that nasty cutter inside. We had no chance last night. HORRIBLE :angry

yup the umps are against us every night

were their some bad calls? sure, but that happens to every team every night

You can't waste time on bad/questionable calls. Some go your way some don't. The beauty of baseball my friend.
