October 22, 200322 yr I've put this together to kind of cheer up the boards a bit. Kind of chessy I know, but I thought it might rally the troops a bit. In less than three hours, The Florida Marlins will join the Yankess from New York, and they will be playing in the biggest stage in all baseball: Game 4 of the World Series. World Series, that word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can't be consumed by fire sales and former lousy owners any more. They will be united in our common interest. Perhaps it's fate that today is the 22nd of October, and they will once again be fighting for a World Series Championship. Not from a quick end to the season, contract negotiations or new rounds of stadium talk, but from elimination. They are fighting to see another day, to take this back to New York, and should they win the day, October 22nd will no longer be known as a New York holiday, but as the day when all of Miami declared in one voice: 'We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! They're going to live on! They're going to survive! Today we celebrate our Game 4 victory!' :marlins
