Ok, how can one not get excited about our bullpen after how they pitched against the Yanks? Man, that is an impressive group. And how great was Miller? I mean, he didn't kill them, but to pitch against the Yanks and keep our team in the game? I'm sure he's patting himself on the back right now. I LOVE our bullpen. Still think, however, that Nelson should make the team. However, he does offer some insurance if anyone goes down throughout the season.

Can't believe you just said that. Joe was my dark horse (long shot) pick going into ST. I have been pulling for him but didn't have much confidence he would break camp with us. It's kinda hard to pick a guy in that pen that dosen't deserve to be there. What a great problem to have.

Nelson needs IMO to just go pitch and show that his arm isn't falling off tomorrow and he'll be on a major league roster, here or elsewhere earlier rather than later. He has major league stuff, no one can dispute that, his health is the concern.

 

Anyone know who's closing for the Isotopes this season or are they going to hand him the ball when he lands with the minor league club? Be interesting to watch how his season progresses.

 

Albuquerque (I really mean the PCL) will be a real challenge for Nelson where he can't count on much movement to get guys out. If he's successful in that environment you know he's going to get a real look-see by some team.
