Well as for Washington and Pittsburgh, they both flat out stink. If the Marlins can field a competitive team, then they will draw fans. As for the roof being open on sunny days, if it is a nice day, then I would assume it would be open. But if it is the dead heat of summer, 90+ degrees, they will close the roof, for the comfort of the fans. I believe that is what they do in Milwaukee and Arizona!

I don't believe it's that way in Az. I saw something once on stadiums (I think it was on the History Channel, or Discovery) and it was said they can close that roof, cool the place down, then open it and it will hold the a/c'ed air in for 3-4 hours during day games. Apply a little elementary school science and it makes sense. Hot air rises.

But we only have day games on Sundays, for the most part. Night games are quite comfortable. At least for the locals. And April and the first couple weeks of May are also pretty comfortable during day games. We only upgraded to the 200 section for the last two Sunday games.

my problemwith raising the money issue is that the fish have some of the cheapest tix in the game and yet few go, rainouts really haven't been an issue yet few go, the team is playing great (yes thats me talking) and yet few go....

Our ticket price, relative to the rest of the league, doesn't change the fact that I have very little disposable income. I go to 15-20 games a year, and that is the absolute limit I can afford.

Now that's a good reason and not a poor excuse. I think 15-20 games a year is satisfactory for a local to attend. And by "local" I mean someone who lives within a 50 mile radius of the stadium.
