Nationals Park/Camden Yards Pics

Featured Replies

MaXx and I are visiting D.C., so we decided to go ahead and check out Nationals Park. It's a nice ballpark. The fans were pretty nice. We got there early to watch some BP. I got a BP ball. :) Odalis Perez was kinda shaking his head because a Marlins fan got it. :p

We are going to Baltimore tomorrow for the O's game, so I'll post pictures of that as well.

to bad they are out of town now, my company has boxes we always give awy could of got you some more. If you will be around til the end of the week we have some mystics tickets that I can't use either.

Did you like the park?

I think it is too steril and the seats arent great. There are still a lot of seats not facing home plate. Plus you have a view of nothing or a parking garage. Can't see the capital or the monument. At least easy train access, and the metro is pretty effective.

That's cool that your company has boxes. Thanks. Maybe next time. :)

We're staying until Wednesday.

The stadium was nice, but could've been better. But we still enjoyed being there.

 My honey!

Nice pics. Sounds like you had a good time.

I'll be there later this month. Phillies vs. Nats.

Looks like a nice stadium.

Idk what you have done but a cool few things to check out is the zoo they have some new stuff and a few good eats places. In NW DC on 7th is chophouse and they have a great salmon sandwich and ahi dish, also timpano on Rockville pike in Rockville, MD is just a great place with an awesome wine menu. Lastly a cool place is Bethesda, MD and ardo is another great place but woodmont ave is just a good street to visit. Most is easy access from the metro all red line except NW DC you take the green or yellow

The other park in that area is much nicer.

Camden blows nationals park away except for parking and getting and getting out.

We just got back from Camden. Way better park. Great food at Boog's and very fun to walk Eutaw street. Hilarious video of Kevin Millar singing after the victory.

Camden was just beautiful. I fell in love with that place. The service was great. Everyone was super nice. It was a lot of fun.

These markers were on Eutaw Street. They marked where home run balls have landed there.

Remember him?

What about him?

The mascot putting a spell on the ball/mound.

As always, Olivo swinging at the first pitch. See the white streak? That's the ball. lol

This guy was an Usher. He was awesome. He was dressed that way because they play and sing "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" during the 7th inning stretch. This guy was also doing magic tricks for some kids.

After the O's win, they play this very funny video of Millar and the team singing and "playing" "Orioles Magic".

I've been to Camden Yards, but never actually saw a game there.

Very strange story--This was back in 2000. My family had tickets for a game and earlier that day a train de-railed nearby and spewed chemicals in the surrounding area and they had to call the game off. We talked to some O's employees and they said that there was no "serious" harm, but they had to call the game off for precautionary reasons. So, we ended up walking around the area and explored the entire chesapeake bay shopping/dining/sight seeing district (which is very cool, i might add). It was disappointing not being able to see the game but it still ended up being a fun experience in Baltimore. I'll be back one day to catch a game at the stadium, assuming there won't be anymore random spewings of chemicals in the Camden Yards area of Baltimore while I'm there

Thats a great story, the bay and the harbor are both pretty nice and there is a lot to do. Much nicer than the rest of baltimore.

The only thing I don't like about Camden is the new centerfield scoreboard/jumbo screen. It is VERY hard to read and doesn't have everything you are looking for on it.

Do you agree MiRi?

Awesome pictures, that place is the ownage of MLB, minus the "Thank God I'm a Country Boy", I still don't understand why they do that.

The park in SF is still the nicest in baseball. It changes its name every year, so IDK what it is? AT&T park maybe now? But that is just a great park and so unique. Camden is nice, but it is nothing really unique to the park, except the Camden Building, which after a few times isnt exciting.

In Baltimore, no less.

Believe it or not, not much of an urban crowd at orioles games. Also, the county over in Carroll County is very rural and country. So are a few other near Baltimore County.

Actually, I didn't have a problem reading it. Only thing is it wasn't very HD, but I am just being picky.

No reading it I guess, not all the best information on it. Compare the Nationals one and Camden one. The NP one had the inning info, who was on the counts, the batter, a picture of the batter.

I know last I went to Camden they had the new right field scores board. It was in the team colors and it was laggin' up. I heard they got rid of team colors and made it all green, but still the lagg effect and it would for example show the score of one game, but have the other teams listed... That fixed yet?

Yup, I went out to a game in San Fran, absolutely quality ballpark, and being on the bay, it's an absolutely breathtaking place to watch a game. The food is also fantastic. That was only one trip though, I have many more memories at the Yard, even though the O's only won like 25% of the games I went to there.

Only thing I do not like about the park in SF is its location. Not the easiest place to get too, I guess I am used to going to games where major metros stop infront of the stadium. I like the idea of no waiting in traffic and taking the train.

It seemed to be fine. :)
