Strength of Schedule

Featured Replies

I was looking at the strenght of schedule of the teams I think we'll be competing with for playoff spots. I adjusted it for each opponents home / road record.

The Cardinals have the toughest schdule (.514). The Brewers the easiest (.473).

Within the division ours is a bit tougher than the Mets and Phillies. The difference between our .494 and the Mets .482 is equivalent to about 0.8 game so I guess in a way we're about 2.3 games back.

Cardinals - .514

Marlins - .494

Phillies - .483

Mets - .482

Brewers - .473

right now mets are real hot so pressure on phy and marlins to stay close to those mets

stay close?

The Mets and Phillies are currently tied.

If anything, the pressure is on the Mets, after their historic collapse last year. Plus, they're due for a loss. You can only win so many in a row. (especially when Fernando Tatis is playing the role of hero, for you).

Seriously, Im not overly impressed with their rise to first coming on the heels of their longest win streak since I've been alive... Regardless, it's still a 3 horse race, the Phillies are the favorites, but the Marlins are more than equipped to take it

i think the streak shows how weak the mets were. They had to win 10 straight to be tied for first. They can not keep up a 650+ clip to stay alive and I think they will fall out.
