July 28, 200818 yr We keep wondering when will he be called up or are we going to trade Jake and move Cantu to 1st. What about trading Mcpherson for some bullpen help? If i'm not mistaken he is only signed for 1 yr and he's a free agent next year. What's his trade value?

July 28, 200818 yr I believe because of his service time he is under the Marlins' control for a number of years (Nny will probably post the exact #s). Both he and Cantu can't leave the organization unless the Fish want them to. As for value, it's always a matchup process. A team like KC for example that has very little power as a team could benefit tremendously from a guy like Jacobs or McPherson, etc. IF (big if) there is a position open for them to fill. It's about filling needs not the worth of a particular player in these kind of circumstances.
