November 2, 200323 yr so where does Va Tech rank right now? Virginia Tech wasn't even in the top 15 this week, they were behind some 2 loss teams even. They'll probably jump all the way back into the top 10, but probably no higher than 9th and too many chips will have to fall for them to get in. Like Alkazoid said, it comes down to USC, Florida State, Ohio State, and Miami. I doubt all four of them lose. Ohio State is going to gain the most this week, since they were behind more of the teams that lost, in the polls, so their poll average is going to go up a bit, but the odds of them winning their last 3 are pretty slim. I think the ball is in USC's court. They win out and they're in, which would be a good thing, since they're playing the best ball of any of the 1 loss teams right now. Of course, if Oklahoma loses, all bets are off and chaos ensues.

November 2, 200323 yr so where does Va Tech rank right now? VT was pretty much eliminated by the BCS from the getgo. Their SOS is too low, and the BCS penalizes you twice for poor SOS because of the computer rankings. Even though beating UM should help them, they have no chance at making it to the Sugar Bowl since they have 1 loss.

Oklahoma still has the Big 12 Title Game. these Teams all have a few more chances to Blow it... good point, i totally forgot about the big 12 title game for OU. that being said, i still dont think they're going to lose. they're frickin incredible, and i'm willing to admit it. even if they do lose, they'll still get a sugar bowl spot.
