Even more this yr cause most of the players wont be in ST camp cause of the the WBC My point was that during spring training you have tens of players competing for a minimal amount of roster spots, which is why there is a need for about 30 ST games. You wouldn't be able to tell which players are better than others if you only had a few games. Other than that, the players competing in the WBC have most likely already locked up a roster spot, so ST is more of a warm-up for them, rather than a competition.
