January 29, 200917 yr http://www.miamiherald.com/431/story/877410.html i really hate it when these herald editors dont put out the real facts about the new stadiums financing. everyone should send this editor (fred grimm) an email and let him have it. plus, we are getting destroyed on those herald threads.
January 29, 200917 yr Fred Grimm is not an editor, he's a columnist (big difference). Second, Grimm is the "Broward Columnist" for the Herald so you can see where his bias lies!

February 1, 200917 yr If commissioners in Miami and Miami-Dade approve the plan, either government would have until June 30 to cancel the deal. ''If we are presented with a worst-case scenario by June 30, we can walk away,'' Mayor Alvarez said in his statement. I did not know this. This is troubling... This isn't new. Burgess mentioned the opt out clause when discussing the documents last week. He said it was included as a protection for all parties but didn't feel anyone would have any reason to use it.
February 1, 200917 yr god damn the herald! here we go again... http://www.miamiherald.com/103/story/882405.html nice front page ad 2 in 1 week
February 1, 200917 yr The anti-stadium crowd is always going to be the loudest...it is in every city that wants to build a new stadium/arena. But just because one side yells louder doesn't make them right. We'll just have to get used to this anti-stadium garbage over the next 2 weeks. Hopefully, the commissioners know what is at stake and what benefits this stadium will bring to Miami. If they do, we'll have the last laugh on the 13th.
February 2, 200917 yr What I have never understood is why the Miami Herald is so openly against the stadium ? What do they have to gain, with the loss of the Marlins from this market ?
