What Food will the New Stadium Specialize in
Versailles is just around the corner. They could prepare their yummy Cuban cuisine in their own kitchen and serve it buffet style at the park.

New Renderings
Marlins win 6-2! I think something should be named after Satchel Paige, the man who threw the first pitch at the OB site.

What would happen if the Marlins went to the american league
There would be a lot of Yankee fans. DH? Yuck! right up there with aluminum bats.

Suggest a name for the new stadium
Bacardi Park is sexy, so Miami. Worth a naming discount. Dovetails nicely into other themes such as "The Bacardi Dancers". ( As opposed to the Burger King Whopper Girls.) But, I honestly think they might have a tough time getting premium money for naming rights in this sorry economy.

Suggest a name for the new stadium
Well, the original AAA Miami Marlins played at Miami Stadium, a few blocks north. Beautiful and somewhat iconic minor league park. Why not?

My First Miami Marlins Concept
Orange is UM, don't even think about it. As for the marlin, it needs a little more style. Man, what a luxury to be talking about the new logo.

Historic Agreement Between Marlins, Miami's African-American Commu
Never a slam dunk with this organization and the bottomless supply of politics and personal positioning, but this has suddenly become a 90% 'er, imo. Let's just hope all the 11th hour gremlins have finally surfaced. Good news for a change!!

Next Meeting Set for March 12
The super majority rule is being questioned by the MD attorney. He thinks it might just require a simple majority in this case.

Next Meeting Set for March 12
Hopefully, Madoff put a dent in Norman's bank account. I actually feel optimistic about this, we are down to one vote from a politician who simply wants to negotiate a better deal for his constituents. An 80% er.

New Renderings Released!!
Pretty much a done deal with the Marlins, Dade, and Miami on the same page with a few minor concessions from the club. New Sun Sentinel piece. http://www.sun-sentinel.com/business/sfl-m...0,1465929.story

Braman swindled?
Saw a blurb on Fox that Norm was an investor in Madoff's Ponzi fraud. Details? One can only hope..

New Stadium won't open until 2012
Homestead City Commission actually passed a resolution a few years ago to solicit the Marlins' involvement in either a Spring Training facility or fielding a low minor club at their facility. I know it seats about 6500 and has excellent parking Don't know much about the OF dimensions. It was originally constructed with a committment by (I thinK) Cleveland for ST but they reneged after Andrew decimated the local economy. I think it's a viable Plan C for the Marlins.

New Stadium won't open until 2012
Or Homestead. As others have suggested, the real issue is MLB in SoFl, not a short term inconvenience. That said, the Dolphin org is unlikely to put us out on the streets as that would become a pr nightmare for them... Amazing the damage that one individual can inflict on his own community. Stupid.

New Stadium won't open until 2012
Not important, it's all about having MLB in SoFl When ground is broken for the new digs, we're gonna have a collective sigh of relief about the future of the club and attendance at DS should reflect that. And oh yeah, Malins should at least rattle a few sabers at Braman and Co.

FL Supreme Court rules referendum NOT required for CRA money use
Braman will surely croak before the appeal runs it's course. My guess is his heirs don't give a ratsass about any of this quixotic nonsense. Done deal, just give me a seating chart and GO MIAMI MARLINS!!
