I believe contruction has begun...

Featured Replies

its not exactly "construction" they are just getting the land ready. real construction doesn't begin until the middle of July I believe.

The bond sale issue has been resolved as of around 1:30am. The problem was the interest rate caused the bond sale to be short by $6 mil, but the team has pledged to cover it and the votes all passed 9-3 in the county commission. Construction should be starting today.

I believe you are correct! I just read Sarah Talalay's article and she agrees with you. IT LOOKS LIKE WE HAVE A DEAL!!!!

You know, assuming that construction continues with no major interruptions, we'll be in the center of the stadium construction universe. That is because after next year the Marlins will be the only ones having a construction project ongoing. The only other major stadium projects right now are the new Jets/Giants stadium in the Meadowlands and the Twins stadium, and those two are going to be done by the end of this year or shortly after. And then it's us and I doubt anyone else for the near future.

So all eyes will be on us, sooner or later! The "last of the Mohicans" ;) :D
