I think you can safely say its not going to be fried fish.

Any ideas, :chef

Latin...of course

There will be stone crabs and some seafood as well

When David Samson was on the radio the day before the trade deadline, he mentioned there being "all kinds" of food being at the stadium. He didn't get too much more specific, though he did say there would be Cuban food there so I guess that would be one of their "specialties." Hopefully that means they'll be serving papas rellenas.

I heard Arbetters mentioned before...If this is true, that would be amazing!!!

Although I would find it ironic if Arbetters were supporting the Marlins if they would face the Red Sox in the Series

They've pretty much said there will be all kinds of foods from different ethnicities. Hopefully though I will be done with school by the time the new stadium is opened and have a good job because I'm sure it's going to be expensive to enjoy any of that.

They should have "Media Noche" (midnight sandwich), as well as "Cuban Sandwich".

Maybe even Sarussi's famous Cuban sandwich with their secret sauce.

I wouldn't mind some "Pan con bistec" (steak sandwich). lol

I'm a simple man from simple times. I just want a hotdog, a pretzel, and a coke.

Wait, did you say pan con bistec?!?!

Gonna be hard to beat Land Shark's dogs.

Gonna be hard to beat Land Shark's dogs.

Not really. You're one of the few people I know that reeeeeeeeaally likes those hot dogs.

Those hot dogs are nothing special... UNLESS you put those banana peppers on there and add a lot of relish. I think they are pretty good after you go through that necessary process

I hear they're gonna have a Taste of Miami food area, so I guess they'll be serving a whole bunch of stuff. Also, what's a midnight sandwich? Sounds intriguing lol

Oh and wikipedia says that at the new stadium "Taste of Miami food courts will offer croquetas, sushi and stone crabs", so I guess there really will be a wide variety of stuff

It's pretty good....lol

I believe it's potato bread.

With swiss cheese, ham, pickles, and shredded pork.

I only eat it with ham and cheese and it's still excellent.

lol

This one appears a bit different than the traditional. The bread looks like a different kind of bread. Although the bread varies from restaurant to restaurant.

The best Midnight Sandwich I have ever had is from a restaurant called Mario's down in Homestead. It's on US1 just off exit 2 from the turnpike. Head to US1. Make a right heading northbound and it would be right there on the left hand side. It's open 24hrs too which is great. I stop there frequently at 4am on the way to Everglades National Park for a fishing trip.

Medianoche sandwich

The medianoche (midnight) sandwich, a concoction of ham, roasted pork, swiss cheese, pickles, mustard, and mayonnaise on a toasted sweet roll, is tastier than its simple appearance implies.

Medianoche, literally "midnight" in Spanish, is a type of Cuban sandwich that originated in Havana, Cuba and is served in many Cuban communities. It is so named because of the sandwich's popularity as a staple served in Havana's night clubs right around or after midnight.

The sandwich consists of roast pork, mustard, and dill pickles on slices of an egg bread similar to Challah. The medianoche is a close cousin to the Cuban sandwich.

Versailles is just around the corner. They could prepare their yummy Cuban cuisine in their own kitchen and serve it buffet style at the park.

All the food choices will be nice, but I actually prefer ballpark food. I just hope the quality and price of the burgers, hot dogs and beer will be better than what currently is offered.

The dogs at the regular stands aren't all that great, IMO. Sausage either. But at the grill up from the Strike Zone they aren't bad. Unfortunetly it is a Jewish stand and isn't open on Saturdays. But right near that spot you can get a pretty good pulled pork sandwich.

Down the concourse a bit, opposite from the souvenier stand, is a little Cuban place that has some decent stuff. Kinda hidden and never much of a line there. Not great, but not bad.

I dont think so, they are gonna want to get some money back.

Look, I'm not expecting it to be cheap. But since, the Marlins will now take all oney from concessions and parking, hopefully it isn't as much as Landshark. Because at Landshark you are paying for the food, putting something in Huizenga's pocket, and putting something in the Marlins bank account. Hopefully it won't be as pricey.

Honestly, I don't mind paying the current prices.

I don't think they're THAT bad.

But as long as it's quality food.

I don't like paying the current prices for nasty, or even mediocre food.

But it's the fact that the devil (Huizenga) gets a large cut out of it...lol
