What would you like to see in the new stadium?

Featured Replies

Access to the seats around the dugout prior to the game for autographs, though lookign at the renderings and reading the stadium description in the agreement, fans will no longer be able to do that.

A banner for a 3rd world championship

I second that!!! Above all, food, better seats, a beach and pool (although that will be pretty cool!), I think a 3rd world championship banner would be the greatest =). We have 3 years to get that banner!!!!! :notworthy

At the plaza outside the stadium I would like to see;

1) Bars - Sports bar, IrishEnglish Pub, Mex/Latin Pub (like Tiajuana Taxi Co.)

2) Restaraunts - La Carreta (Cuban), Chillis, TGI Fridays, Hot Dog, Hamburger Joint, Flannigan's, Chik-Fil-A

3) Retail shops - Sports Authority, The Gap, Banana Republic (most appropriate), others etc.

4) Miscellaneous - ESPN Sportszone, Ritz Camera, Outdoor batting cages and/or miniature golf course/ driving range

5) Baseball museum - General baseball artifacts as well as Marlin baseball history ( Two world championships etc.)

I think if it becomes an entertainment complex, it could be a year round venue and would bring large amounts of people all the time.

Also, if they build a soccer stadium on the rest of the land then they can make it an even bigger complex. More people, bigger crowds, better gameday experience.

i like some of the ideas in here...good luck getting them to lower beer prices though...just show up to the stadium sloshed i say!!!

but things id like to never see at the new stadium

norm braman

obnoxious mets fans

obnoxious phillies fans

anyone who voted against the stadium

steve phillips(just because is obnoxious and tends to not say very nice things about our marlins)

Versailles Restaurant

Wine Bar with live jazz

Moon Over Miami

Metrorail Stop

Sonic!!!!

arbetters, or at least sell some Ball Park Franks. (I hate Nathans)

Miami Subs

You hate good hotdogs.

- The same crowd that was at the PR-Venezuela game, complete with the musical element. :D

- Official T-shirts that say "No Blocky Blocky" on sale, to work the neighborhood vibe in. ;)

- Have the same people who call in Jerry Del Castillo's show do the Spanish language broadcasts. That would be fun to hear. :D

- Mermaids that look like the dancers at the Calle 8 festivals.

More retail in the great Plaza:

1) Coffe Shop - Starbuck's, Seattle's best, etc.

2) Dunkin Donuts, Waffle house, or Original Pancake house

3) Ice Cream Parlor - Coldstone, Baskin Robbins, etc.

4) Pizza Parlor - Any Italian shop that has authentic pizza

I think some of us are going a bit overboard. There is no way the plaza will have all of the amenities wished for here. It will only have a few and will probably take a long time to grow the surrounding area.
