I've always wondered how a professional athlete that rooted for a certain team growing up, gets over that passion once he is drafted by another team. Dontrelle comes to mind with the Oakland A's.

I know for me, I became a big Tampa Bay Lightning fan while I worked for them. They actually passed the Panthers as my 2nd favorite(Sabres 1st). Prior to that, I probably would have rated the Lightning last on my favorites list.

Now I see it actually isn't that hard.

When you're drafted, you're just happy to be playing professional sports, or to be wearing a major league uniform.

That's like becoming a broadcaster. I'm in college for communications and would like to be a radio/TV announcer for baseball or football. What if I got hired by the Braves? :(
