as much as I have often come to the defense of Bonifacio around here... it is not very encouraging that they talked up his defense and he has two errors in 3 games so far...

 

Its understandable in that he's playing a new position. Although I will never understand why he's getting such a serious look at third. The only reasonable explanation would be the team wants Coghlan getting more starts at second.

I saw him at 3rd today. He seemed to have good hands but he let everything play him and never charges the ball always sat back.

Good God! They aren't or never will be even close.

 

I don't believe the Marlins do salary dumps because they always get talent in return but this was clearly a salary dump. We got rid of Willingham's back (not paying him millions) and Olsen's a headcase (with good pitching prospects on the horizon).
