Daniel Barone could have very well pitched into the 7th or 8th inning, heck even gone for the complete game tonight but was pulled for a pinch hitter in the top of the 7th as the Z's trailed 2-1. It paid off as Alejandro De Aza came through with a 2 RBI double to give the Z's and Barone the lead.

Here is Barones line

6 IP 3 H 2 ER 0 BB 2 K

ERA now 5.17

67 Pitches/45 Strikes

6 groundouts/10 flyouts

While this may not seem like a great outing on paper, Round Rocks starter was throwing a 1 hitter going into the 6th inning before the Z's figured him out.

Offensive Stars:

Jai Miller 2-4 with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored

De Aza 1-1 with a 2 RBI Double

Z's win 7-3

As long as he stays in AAA, I'm ok with him. :thumbup
