Our national deficit for F/Y 2010: $1.8 trillion.

To put that in perspective, that is over 60% higher than the total budgetary deficits of George W. Bush's first term. All told, it's over half of what was laid by George W. Bush during both terms.

Where does it end? With our country being owned by China after they call back all their T-bonds?

American future is unknown. I mean its changed big time over the last 15 years. What ever happened to the America of 1995, things were better even back then, you know it seems that a vale came down after 9/11, and we changed the chapter to a new era. I think that the American flag is still there, but ownership has traded hands, to who though?

Its a shame. None of them care. Not Bush nor Obama nor any president other than Reagan really. So long as it isnt affecting their lives... they just dont care.

Come on -- Obama's going to half the deficit by the end of his term -- but only after he triples it.

Whether you agree with the 'stimulus' packages or not, the reality is there's no way Obama or anyone can cut this deficit in half in 3 years, unless taxes are raised to ridiculously high numbers; and not just on people making over 250K it would have to be across the board. Either that or spending in general is reduced exponentially, which seems unlikely at this point.
