June 11, 200917 yr They've said they're interested in Signing Jason Kidd for the MLE. MLE? Why would we want Kidd if we have Chalmers starting, and i doubt Mario or Kidd would be happy coming off the bench.

June 11, 200917 yr I'm more interested in seeing Mario Chalmers develop than see a past his prime PG take over for a season. Last year Kidd shot 41% from the field, averaging 9 ppg. Yes he had 9 assists per game, but all across the board each of the last 5 seasons Kidd's numbers have decreased significantly. He's getting older, he's not as useful as he was back in the day. I'd rather have Chalmers assume the point guard role than have Kidd just get in his way for a season.

June 11, 200917 yr We'll get a sh*tload of cap space once Jermaine O'Neal is gone in 2010. I knew he wouldn't decline his player option, but I was still hoping somehow he would decline it. Those who are gone this year are Blount, Magloire, and Head. Moon, Quinn, and Anthony are restricted free agents. This year we aren't going after any big names, at best we may sign a Chris "Birdman" Anderson, but that again is a big if. Every team is preparing for that 2010 class, and the team with the most money to spend would be the Nets, who I am actually predicting to get Lebron James. How do the Nets have the most money to spend? Dont the Heat have no guaranteed money for the 2010-2011 season?
June 11, 200917 yr The Nets cleared up A LOT of money when they traded away Richard Jefferson. I remember hearing a while back that the big reason they made that trade was to clear up space for 2010.

Ok, but the Heat do not have any contracts extending past this upcoming season, which means they have the max amount of money available.
