July 18, 200917 yr I voted getting rid of the guys you listed. When you give away talent (although the Jacobs trade at least netted us a good player, albeit a reliever) and you're a small market team, how the heck are you gonna replace it? We're a couple solid players away from being a good team and there's just no reason why we should have gone from a surplus of offensive talent to a deficit if Beinfest had played his cards right. A lot have said Bonifacio, but these moves were the precursor to him being there and him starting simply doesn't happen if these moves weren't made.
