I will choose 16 players at random, and we will have a baseball player survivor. There will be an AL tribe and an NL tribe. Once a week there will be a poll "which tribe should someone be eliminated from". Then, we'll vote off someone from that tribe, winding down until there's down to 2.

Heh...let me tell you

 

First off, I am a Survivor junkie. It's trash television, but I LOVE it. Don't ask me why.

 

Second, I'm a big enough nerd to participate in an online Survivor thing, but your idea, Giants, is basically like your whole best player thing. Who will be voted off OF #25 or Neifi Perez? Who cares? It will either be a vote based on stats, or appeal (making it easily predictable) or just whim, making it completely meaningless. The fun in games like this come from the players themselves, watching them strategize and lie and deceive and complain about the other players.

 

Now, you could have a game with people on this board, and every couple of days we have a secret vote and a poster is voted off (and I dunno, not allowed to post in that particular thread anymore). We could have PM alliances and everything, and maybe trivia challenges to determine immunity.

 

How about it? It is not a terrible idea, this idea.

Here are the teams/ tribes:

I will have World Series rematches to determine immunity (i.e. 03 Marlins vs. 03 Yankees, 02 Giants vs. 02 Angels, 01 D-backs vs. 01 Yankees, etc.

And you can vote someone off any reason you see fit, whether it's how good they are, how much you like a player, or just because they're the biggest threat
