May 15, 201016 yr The Indians have released lefthander Scott Lewis, tweets Paul Hoynes of The Cleveland Plain Dealer. The 26-year-old had a 2.12 ERA with an 18/4 K/BB ratio in 17 innings for Triple-A Columbus this year, so it doesn't seem like recent performance factored into the move. Lewis made five starts for the Indians over the last two years, winning four games in as many outings back in 2008. Baseball America ranked him as the team's 21st best prospect as recently as last year. I suspect he won't be out of a job very long. I do believe we should attempt to go after him. He's a young pitcher with pretty good stuff, was 4-0 in 2008 in his 4 Starts 2.63 ERA. The thing that really wants me have the FO go after him is that he could possibly be our LOOGY. It's a small sample size (25 AB) but lefties are hitting only .160/.160/.400 against him in his career. He is also doing well in the minors, 2-0 2.19 ERA 18 SO .194 BAA. It would be fine if another team overpays for him but if we can get him for a good deal I'd be all for it. If anything he could be more pitching depth in the minors.
May 15, 201016 yr he was 2-0 with a 2.12 ERA after 3 starts in AAA. he allowed 16 baserunners and had 18 strikeouts in 17 innings. and they released him? doesn't sound right. pick him up, though! sh*t, why not

From what I've read, I think I saw somewhere that he's hurt right now, actually. Not sure, but supposedly he had Tommy John and he's never really been able to stay healthy long, since.
May 15, 201016 yr This got me thinking, what was the name of the highly touted Indians pitching prospect a few years ago who had some injury problems, I cannot recall?
