January 31, 201115 yr Noooooooo I hate Chelsea but I love Torres! ...conflicting....emotions...can....not....handle i totally agree. i can't stand chelsea and i like torres ever since he started playing for liverpool.
January 31, 201115 yr liverpool and chelsea have agreed on a 50 million dollar fee for fernando torres. this is a big loss for liverpool but they have moved quickly to cushion the damage by buying luis suarez and andy caroll. £50m not $50m so it is really $80m. Don't think either the Torres to Chelsea or Carroll to Liverpool deals are fully complete yet but seems like they will be soon. Suarez cost Liverpool £23m. I LOVE DEADLINE DAY! suarez is gonna be a stud. and even though i really like torres, he's not worth that much especially since his form has been bad since 2008. but i'm still disappointed since liverpool is my favorite team in the EPL. although i'm not attached to them since i don't get to see any game living in the united states so i have a favorite team from each major league. Serie A: Juventus EPL: Liverpool German: Bayern Munich
February 1, 201115 yr Major leagues, yet you dont include La Liga? that's because la liga only has like 2 amazing teams and everyone else is sub-par. and i hate both barcelona and real madrid. although if i had to choose one team it would be atletico madrid
February 1, 201115 yr reports indicate the deal is for around 58 million. even though chelsea overpaid for torres, so did liverpool to get andy carroll at a reported 40 million.
February 1, 201115 yr Author Total spending by Premierleague teams in this transfer window £214m (GBP) whereas last January only £29m was spent.
February 1, 201115 yr as much as i like torres and even though he was my favorite player at liverpool, you don't pass up on that kind of deal since chelsea won't even make half of that when they try to sell him later on. also suarez+carroll >> torres. the combo of suarez/carroll will be scary for many years to come because they both 23 years old and have proven alot already.

I agree the Suarez/Carroll partnership has the potential to be fantastic. However the club need to ensure Carroll tones down his partying and wild-boy image. He all too often ends up out on the piss and has a history of assaults etc. That problem could escalate with the massive wages he will now earn.

February 2, 201115 yr When you say Gallagher, I'm guessing you mean Carragher...... yeah, i can't explain that mistake other than i was typing this right after work and i was kinda tired
February 2, 201115 yr Author Luis Suarez may have scored in his Liverpool debut tonight. Some sources have him as the scorer, others say it was an own goal.
February 3, 201115 yr Luis Suarez may have scored in his Liverpool debut tonight. Some sources have him as the scorer, others say it was an own goal. i'm pretty sure they scored it as his goal because it just deflected the defender..........anyway the guy is a proven scorer so i didn't have any questions about him stepping in and scoring especially since he scored 49 goals last season for ajax. but i'm worried about carroll, he still hasn't really proven himself as a top-flight striker.
February 3, 201115 yr liverpool won but juve lost. they actually lost like every game since the start of the new year, which is bad considering they had a solid season going into the break. speaking of liverpool and juve.....juve want to keep aquilani permanently but liverpool are asking for too much (12 million). actually i think liverpool shouldn't take anything less because when he's on form aquilani is a graceful and dangerous player and he'd look nice in their midfield next season when returning from loan.

The good thing for him is he wont need to be a prolific striker when he has Suarez next to him. All he needs to do is be a target man and knock the ball down for Suarez to run on to.
February 4, 201115 yr liverpool plays chelsea next week. but torres how vowed that he will not celebrate if he scores against his former team because of the respect he has for the liverpool fans who supported and idolized him for the 3 1/2 years he spent there

February 6, 201115 yr chelsea starting out with 3 headed monsters up front - Torres / Drogba / Anelka and cant do anything ... incredible Great display by Liverpool
February 6, 201115 yr Author Messi scored another hat-trick last night to make it 40 goals in 33 games this season. Ridiculous!
February 6, 201115 yr messi and barcelona are completely on another level. They are shaping out to be one of the best team in club football history ... they are already up there with the greats (Ajax of the 80's, Milan of the 90's and others)

They are shaping out to be one of the best team in club football history ... they are already up there with the greats (Ajax of the 80's, Milan of the 90's and others) Every game is just so easy for them, they dont really need to try. Won 16 in a row in La Liga now.

Ridiculous! messi is a great player and all but i'm just not that impressed when he might as well be playing in the MLS..............la liga teams they face are mediocre other than real madrid
