DT remind me who started opening day for The Fish

he was nervous....

we wouldn't have lost opening day if it wasn't for the defense.. so I still like our chances today... Beckett is the next Nolan Ryan... :mischief

ramp it's the right thing to do.. I prefer to see Pudge rest more often now in the beginning of the season than in the end of the season when we will need him..

1st inning: Marlins only hit is a 2b by Encarnacion

2nd inning: Marlins only hit is a 2b by Hollandsworthless

still no clutch hitting

ugh

Currently (Mid 3rd inning):

Josh Beckett: 31 pitches (19 for strikes)

Joe Roa: 38 pitches (27 for strikes)

I just realized this team won't go anywhere. It just doesn't have "it". Everytime this team comes out to play, even if it's A.J. pitching, you don't feel confident about a victory, you feel 50%-50% and that just doesn't cut it. This team will be good, we'll win some games, but will always fall short. I just saw it, it was like an epiphany.

You just now realized that? Really?

It's about MONEY in this sport and our team doesn't spend enough of it - but hopefully we will be good enough to have a fun season and not bore us to death every night! lol

no, it's not really about money. because the a's don't have money, and every time zito is pitching people expect him to win, is 2nd nature to him and the team.

neither do the Twins.. but when you spend money you'll have a bigger chance... except for the Mets

let's face it, we suck. 3rd time in the game we have a runner on 2nd and all 3 times the runner has stayed there. we are making this scrub look like the 2nd comingof cy young.

I'm talking about 'numbers' here - for the MOST part, it's about money - yes there are exceptions to every rule, but the numbers usually stick.

Currently (Top 5th inning):

Josh Beckett: 62 pitches (38 for strikes)

Joe Roa: 60 pitches (40 for strikes)

Still 1-0 Phillies
