One week away. Just watched the original last week. The trailer for this new movie looks good.

Going to see it in Imax on Friday

Was a fun ride. Don't need to see the original Tron but it helps with the in-jokes scattered throughout. A bit like Matrix meets Star Wars but the action scenes and the CGI Jeff Bridges were very good. *** / 4

Rating a film out of 4 is a bit odd, no? Normally it would be 5 or 10.

Most film critis use the 4 star system

Looking at my own DVD collection and also what I've recently rented or seen on tv, here is the 4 star system and how I'd rate movies to give you an idea

**** = Excellent / Classic (Godfather Part II, Raiders of the Lost Ark, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest)

***1/2 = Very Good (Sixth Sense, Jurassic Park, Schindler's List)

*** = Good (Avatar, The Hangover, Gran Torino)

**1/2 = Average / Shoulda been better than what it was (Iron Man 2, Independence Day, Predators)

** = Fair / Some Good Parts & Some Bad Parts (2012, Tropic Thunder)

*1/2 = Poor / Mostly Bad with very little to redeem itself (Superman III)

BOMB = Terrible (Transformers 2, Battlefield Earth)
