All-new “Florida Marlins Hot Stove Report � Premieres Saturday on FOX Sports Florida at 6:30pm

 

As the television partner of the Florida Marlins, FOX Sports Florida has recently wrapped production on its all-new “Florida Marlins Hot Stove Report,� and will premiere the half-hour TV show this Saturday, December 18, at 6:30pm ET. The program is designed to give viewers unique access to the team’s offseason activities. The show includes footage of the recent MLB Winter Meetings in Orlando, Fla. where members of the Marlins’ front office met with representatives from other teams to work out the best possible scenarios for the 2011 Fish. The Marlins made several player moves prior to the start of the meetings and were on the lookout for opportunities to supplement the roster.

 

 

 

The “Hot Stove Report� will include interviews with Marlins President of Baseball Operations Admin Beinfest, team owner Jeffrey Loria and General Manager Mike Hill as they address their plans to improve the team during the offseason. The show will also feature one-on-one talks with Manager Edwin Rodriguez, who returns to the dugout for 2011, and newly-acquired catcher John Buck. Buck signed a three-year deal with the Marlins as a free agent on November 17.

 

 

 

Vice President of Ballpark Development Claude Delorme will also update viewers on the construction of the team’s new ballpark in Miami.

 

 

 

Earlier this month, Marlins radio announcer Dave Van Horne received the Ford C. Frick award for excellence in baseball broadcasting. Van Horne will be honored at the Baseball Hall of Fame next summer and the “Hot Stove Report� will let fans hear his reaction to the news.

 

 

 

The Marlins Hot Stove Report will debut on Saturday, December 18 at 6:30pm. The show is hosted and produced by Frank Forte.
