PhxPhin
May be wrong, but I didn't see this posted elsewhere A pretty sound hatchet job by Forbes .... especially when talking about owner Jeffrey Luria lining his pockets with revenue sharing and working over the taxpayers......... http://www.forbes.com/lists/2011/33/baseball-valuations-11_Florida-Marlins_336786.html Lowest operating income in the league .... here is the full list http://www.forbes.com/lists/2011/33/baseball-valuations-11_rank.html
canada-marlin24
except everything they wrote in "the skinny" is pretty off and said the marlins are contributing "only" 155 million. what they dont say is that is the 4th or 5th highest private contribution to a stadium yet. they didnt spell loria's name right and said taxpayers are going to pay for the stadium. last time i checked its tourist taxes designated only for entertainment venues. assholes. Hurricane
Typical national media hate on the Marlins. What else would one expect ?
Jags28
I'd like to think an outlet with a decent reputation like Forbes would make some attempt at getting their facts correct. Guess it's cooler to make crap up, stretch out the fact to their limit, and hate for the sake of hating.
