July 1, 201115 yr The rosters for the AAA all-star game being played July 13th, the day after the MLB all-star game, in Salt Lake City include two Marlins farmhands. New Orleans Zphyrs players, pitcher Victor Garate and outfielder Bryan Petersen were named to the Pacific Coast League team. There will be several individuals with ties to the Marlins organization involved in the game as the manager of the PCL team is former Marlins bench coach Lorenzo Bundy (1998) and Tommy Gregg who played for the Marlins in 1995 is one of his coaches. The PCL takes on the International League which roster includes former Marlin Jeremey Hermida and has former long time Marlins minor league manager/instructor Dean Treanor as a coach.
July 2, 201115 yr Author I thought Peterson got called up.... He hadn't been promoted at the time the rosters were announced, if he's back in AAA by the game he could still play if he's not been replaced.
July 8, 201115 yr Author Vinny Rottino has been added to the roster to take Petersen's place, also Garate will miss game due to injury.
