fanofthefish
For the most part the Marlins have set their minor league coaching staffs for the 2012 season. In New Orleans Ron Hassey makes the leap from Jupiter to manage the Zephyrs, he'll be joined by returners Charlie Corbell-pitching and Damon Minor-hitting. In Jacksonville Andy Barkett will return for his second season with the Suns. Pitching coach John Duffy will also return to Jacksonville and former Marlins farm hand Kevin Randel is being promoted from Greensboro. For the Jupiter Hammerheads a whole new coaching staff has been announced, Manager Andy Haines is moving up with most of his players from Greensboro last season, he's joined by pitching coach Joe Coleman who spent the last five seasons with the Tigers Florida Stae League team. Hitting coach Corey Hart moves down after two season with Jacksonville. For the Greensboro Grasshoppers former Marlins player Dave Berg is the new manager after two seasons with Jamestown. Berg brings pitching coach Blake McGinley with from the Jammers and Frank Moore returns as hitting coach. For the Jamestown Jammers a new manager and pitching coach have yet to be named and as of now Angel Cepeda and Roberto Silverio return as coaches. It appears the GCL Marlins staff will remain intact with Mgr. Jorge Hernandez, hitting coach Bobby Bell and pitching coach Jeff Schwarz. fanofthefish
What haopened to the Grasshoppers pitching coach from last year, his name was Glen I believe? Willie Glenn, last season was his first as a coach after previously playing in the Marlins system, I haven't read anywhere that he's been retained but its possible he could go to Jamestown if stays within the organization as they still need a pitching coach
AeroFishOne
It is also the last year of the grasshoppers/marlins agreement. Im hoping a deal gets done because the marlins really can't ask for a better farm team as far as fan support.
