Starks put that non sense out there too. I seriously doubt Cabrera will be a 1B - that would be a waste of his athletic talent. We already have his big bat - he is more valuable playing a position in which it is a little more difficult to get offensive production. OF is pretty good for that purpose, and with Conine and Choi, we got 1B covered. Our needs now are the bullpen, re-signing Castillo (or a replacment), extending Lowell's years here, and fixing the catching situation. Not listed in any particular order...

I never understood all this Cabrera-to-first talk. If Lee got traded, I thought it was pretty much said that Conine would take over at first. Now that we have Choi, Cabs is 3rd in line there. Frankly, I think Cabs is too important to the OF picture to even THINK about using at first.
