November 28, 200322 yr Yes he might leave...since we have our 3 Outfielders set. Also we are trying to save up on money so maybe we can re-sign Pudge.
November 28, 200322 yr Author Thats cool. Also maybe we can trade redman with encarnacion and sign vlad :shifty
November 28, 200322 yr Encarnacion is definitely gone. Unfortunately, just as lee was, enc is another odd man out. And, to even mention Vlad as a marlin is funny, seeing as he commands more $$$ yearly than pudge would, and it's pretty probable we won't get pudge, we can get vlad even less. Plus, JC isn't exactly the best 1st baseman, i've seen him in LF and 1B (obviously longer seen in 1B) and he seems better as LF..

November 28, 200322 yr Yeah he's pretty much gone. He had his moments but definitely isn't a priority to keep or anything. We have our 3 outfielders and can live without him. I just hope we can get something good in return but I trust our FO :thumbup
November 28, 200322 yr im gonna miss his strike outs, but im going to specially miss his expressionless face :shifty
November 28, 200322 yr i'm gonna miss his strong, accurate arm in rightfield but that's true, he never had an expression :lol

November 28, 200322 yr I think he learned not to do that again. :peepwall you mean when he tried going after that foul ball (at pro player), smacked and fell over the bullpen wall???
November 28, 200322 yr I think he learned not to do that again.? :peepwall you mean when he tried going after that foul ball (at pro player), smacked and fell over the bullpen wall??? of course
November 28, 200322 yr Author yeah for sure he migth be the next to leave. is he leaving along with redman?
November 28, 200322 yr I think he is only if we can get a good trade package for the two which I wouldn't be surprised if we did.
November 28, 200322 yr We aren't going to get "a good trade package" for them, not at Enc's projected 2004 arbitration salary. The only way Enc even stays in MLB, and he assuredly will, is for him to be non-tendered and signs with another ballclub at a number near what he made last season. Redman on the otherhand may have some significant trade value but again, being arb eligible decreases his value as trade bait. Barring the unforseen, expect Enc to be non-tendered (which is actually in his best interest longterm) and Redman to be traded/swapped for fillintheblank.

If JC is supposed to be Jeff Conine, what the heck are you talking about? He's a good 1st baseman. Very fundamentally sound. He's a ball player. He's not going to hurt you at first. And he will probably play there quite a bit, especially against lefties.
