Marlon Byrd?

I know it seems like someone always makes a thread about EVERY player that has been released but.....Boston just let him go and, to be honest, for good reason...now, do you guys think he would be worth a shot on signing and seeing what he could do? I mean, the man was a pretty good hitter not too long ago. Maybe a change of scenery could do him well, especially a place like Miami where its not as hectic as Boston or Chicago.

If he was willing to spend some time in the minors, working on his swing with a timetable for a promotion, the Red Sox would be on the hook for most of his contract if he passes through waivers, so then and Maybe then.
