Castillo agrees to 3 year deal with...

Featured Replies

I think this is a very good deal, at a very good price. Thank God he sucked it up in the WS, and looked like crap against Mussina. I think it saved us a million and a half per year.

Castillo couldn't have picked a better spotlight . . .

His value may have been more before. I think he is getting a lot of money for a guy who is slowly becoming less and less a running threat. We'll see...

at least something went right for me today. this is great news

Now that Castillo will be healthy....that means the old Castillo will be back. 55+ stolen bases!

Good move by the Marlins.

Now our next move is signing lowell or pudge.

I am so happy to see the Marlins have re-signed Castillo and all but announced that Lowell is locked in to a long term deal. I was skeptical about what Loria and Beinfest were saying, but they really appear to have been telling the truth when they said they wanted to keep this team together. Good to see that such a talented young team is locking up a good portion of it's core players long term.

We will see, but I think that the fish are going to trade Encarnacion sometime soon, and then re-sign Pudge. I like the fact that the Marlins are only offering Pudge a 2 year deal, if he doesn't want to sign for only 2 years, then he should get his greedy a** out of town because 2 years, with maybe an option for 3, is all he's worth.

Good work Marlins Brass! :thumbup
