December 2, 200322 yr Hudson is...... a switch-hitter, Hudson had success batting lefthanded but struggled from the right side. As his hitting mechanics and approach are about the same from both sides, his first-year lefty/righty splits may prove to be an oddity over time. He works best when determined to hit liners gap to gap, going with the pitch. Hudson struggled when pressing to hit for power yet showed the confidence to hit under pressure, with a .347 mark when runners were in scoring position. Hudson is one of an exciting crop of young players brought into the organization by Vice President Tim Wilken. Hudson won the regular second-base job last season and batted mostly seventh and eighth in the order. He has the physical assets required to one day be a leadoff hitter. last year wasnt that good 4 em 268 9 bombs and 57 RBI's he is a cheaper version of Louie and will only get better as time progresses only 5 stolen bases last year and was caught 4 times
