Zona loses to the 8th ranked team in the country by a basket and Duke loses to Purdue who wasnt even ranked and struggled with Pacific a couple of nights before and they fall to 6th while Arizona falls to 8th. it doesnt bother me much though, rankings now dont mean s*** anyway.

The ACC bias in college basketball is amazing, so dont' be surprised. With that said, back to the topic of this thread, I respect Billy Donovan and the great program he has put together down at Florida. I wish them the best, and they are well deserved of their number 2 ranking.
December 3, 200322 yr Author thanks mags....I HATE ACC BBALL! (except for Clemson). Overrated. My hall is loaded with UNC and Duke fans. It blows. Me and my roommate are Gator fans, and there is 1 South Carolina fan on the hall. That's it for defending the SEC. Now, I'm not saying the SEC is better or worse....but I am saying that the ACC is overrated.
December 3, 200322 yr SEC Hoops aren't really great right now, however they are good, and in a couple years they will be great, that is a conference on the rise (with established powers like Florida and Kentucky and programs on the rise like Auburn, and I know i'm forgetting some). The ACC is so overrated this year, let's take a look team by team. Maryland-Rebuilding Year. Duke-Rebuilding Year and overrated. Have young talent, but NO proven stars. North Carolina-Good, but no depth, and they are screwed if anyone gets hurt. Wake Forest-Underrated, very good team, but not great. So as you see, the ACC is IMO a flawed conference this year. I'm tired of the bias towards it.
December 3, 200322 yr Oh get off it. All teams in early season polls are overrated whether they be UConn, Duke or Florida. And it's funny that the ACC remains to be a powerhouse even its rebuilding years. Georgia Tech, Maryland, NC and tomorrow Duke knocking off top teams. And thr ACC is pegged to put six or seven teams in the tourney. The other conferences must REALLY suck.
