April 26, 201313 yr Look on the bright side -- 1/2 or more of the current 25-man roster won't be here a year from now. You seem so sure. He's most likely right or close to it.
April 26, 201313 yr Hey guys. Sorry I could not listen to the game on the radio or join the fun on the threads (shortest game thread ever too,) but I was on a road trip out of town. Finally got to Jacksonville tonight. I hope I didn't miss too much Marlins excitement. Its sad not being able to follow the guys, specially against the Cubs. PS: Today we improved tremendously. We are now 29th in on base percentage. Our offense is no longer dead last on every category. Got to be happy about that. Between you and '...' this is going to be a fun season :wee
April 27, 201313 yr Look on the bright side -- 1/2 or more of the current 25-man roster won't be here a year from now. You seem so sure.Virtually certain goners: Olivo, Green, Pierre, Kearns, Coghlan, Qualls, Nolasco Questionable: Valaika, Solano, Polanco, Slowey, LeBlanc, Rauch, Koehler, Kotchman (DL) Very likely to be here: Ruggiano, Cishek, Sanabia, Mahoney, Mathis (DL), Turner (MiLB), Marisnick (MiLB), Ozuna (MiLB) Almost certain to be here: Stanton, Fernandez, Brantly, Dobbs, Ramos, Webb, Dunn, Hechavarria (DL), Alvarez (DL), Eovaldi (DL), Yelich (MiLB), Morrison (DL) 14 of the current 25 guys could easily not be here a year from now. Some of the very likely or almost certain to be here guys could be traded by the non-waiver deadline if the offers are attractive enough. Which is why I said 1/2 or more. Obviously, it depends on how guys perform and what trade offers are made, but I think the whole roster will be very fluid as they try to rebuild and that are less than 10 guys who are "guaranteed" to be here next year.
