I swear that after watching valbuena the last week, as cishek was delivering the pitch i was in the process of muttering "watch out for this guy he has pop". then you know what happened to that pitch.

and why does it seem like marmol always gets into trouble against the marlins yet gets out of it? oh i think i know why.

the worlds best bunter who spends 17 hours a day bunting cant get a bunt down which would have allowed solano to score on polancos line drive.

then mister all star giancarlo stanton who was so upset to be on an inferior team has in fact been the most inferior hitter in the lineup. marmol was basically pitching around him and managed to strike him out.

only the marlins can pull that off.

i say this calmly after my nightly tantrum.

There's no way that you ALWAYS feel like something is going to happen before it happens.

dude i swear. it actually gets me infuriated. valbuena had smoked two balls to solano and hit a few shots already this year.

DUDE, HE SWEARS.

Well, Heath Bell was a disaster but, watching Cishek, I admit I miss him.

You're probably crazy then.

Well, Bell is 2-0 with 4.50 and Stevie is 1-3 with a 5.40

But I admit I do feel crazy.

It sucks seeing guys like Omar Infante, Gaby Sanchez and John Buck doing very well for other teams while we're struggling watching Juan Pierre be old and hit under the Mendoza line and Donovan Solano is our everyday 2nd baseman.

And we're stuck with $35m cry baby 'ace' who would be a 5th starter on any other team

It's funny how Buck leaves Miami and is now tearing the cover off the ball in New York. Bell is playing a lot better this year than he did in 2012.

Why do so many of these guys come here and have an off year, then go elsewhere and flourish?

It's baseball.

It's also a small sample size.

All the guys who went to Toronto have been terrible.

Also, while Bell and Buck were bad, there were peripherals indicating that they weren't nearly that bad. Especially in Bell's case. All hatred aside, he was actually already turning things around in the 2nd half last year. + he could have a 0 ERA the rest of the year, and I'd still be happy he's gone, anyway.

Hey guys. Sorry I could not listen to the game on the radio or join the fun on the threads (shortest game thread ever too,) but I was on a road trip out of town. Finally got to Jacksonville tonight.

I hope I didn't miss too much Marlins excitement. Its sad not being able to follow the guys, specially against the Cubs.

PS: Today we improved tremendously. We are now 29th in on base percentage. Our offense is no longer dead last on every category. Got to be happy about that.

Buck played in Miami for 2 years and was never up to par.

Stanton needs to get the bat going. Seems as though he and Cishek haven't been the same since coming back from the World Baseball Classic.

It was nice to see Brantly have a breakout game against Minnesota, but hopefully that wasn't just a fluke. The guy has been awful at the plate; he seems flat-out lost out there sometimes.

If Juan Pierre continues to get pretty consistent ABs, he might finish the year as the worst player in baseball.

It will be close between him and Solano. Thank god we have both.

Look on the bright side -- 1/2 or more of the current 25-man roster won't be here a year from now.
