December 5, 200322 yr I always found this guy a little overrated. He barely shows up in the clutch, swings and misses, and seems to go missing for streches. Your thoughts? I know I'm late, but I finally was able to access this site.
December 5, 200322 yr he wasnt that great in the PRO but he should have a very big year for the Cubs that being said, i love the deal..... it let us keep AJ, Mikey, and Luis

December 5, 200322 yr We can certainly replace Lee's offense but his defense will be missed. I love Lowell but he doesn't really have the best arm. Whoever are first baseman is will have to work with the infielders.

December 5, 200322 yr Sounds like Lee is interested in going to arby. So there's always a chance we can get him back next year at a good price...that is unless Choi steps up this year. :mischief2
December 5, 200322 yr Lee will have a year similar to this one, at the very least, and in all likelihood, his RBI will increase dramatically batting between Sosa and Alou. He'd be stupid not to test the free agent market, but I don't see us bringing him back because of a guy we have coming up named Jason Stokes who's meant to be the next Mike Sweeney.

Yeah, I believe you're right about Lee. A good year in Wrigley could price him out of our range. It will be interesting to see how Stokes and Choi develop next year. They both have potential. If Stokes can get healthy and back on track, it could be a battle for 1B.
December 5, 200322 yr I went to a Hammerheads game this year just to see Stokes play, and Samson and Beinfest were at the game with 2 scouts (I swear to God). All the two of them (Beinfest and Samson) did was gush about Stokes, and this was before we dealt for Urbina so Adrian Gonzalez was still around. Jason Stokes is our 1B of the future until he falls apart or Choi becomes the Korean Rafael Palmeiro...
