Wild Card
http://insider.espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/11346809/best-defensive-tools-baseball-mlb Biggest Marlins snub is Marcell Ozuna's arm IMO. Best infield glove Honorable mentions: Adeiny Hechavarria (Bowden: "The most underrated defensive shortstop in baseball.") Best fielding pitchers 5. Henderson Alvarez, Marlins
Wild Card
Btw, Keith Law with the top 5 tools for pitchers, the only thing Jose Fernandez cracked was #5 slider. What a joke.
SongInTheAir
*Sigh* Adeiny Hechavarria, 2014: Defensive Runs Saved Above Average: -4 Ultimate Zone Rating: -6.8 Ultimate Zone Rating per 150 Games: -9.3 Plays made by Hech that are- Impossible: 0% Remote: 5.9% Unlikely: 50% Even: 47.4% Likely: 76.9% Routine: 96.8% Basically, he makes a lot of tough plays, which makes him look awesome to the "eye test" because those are the ones we remember with hashtags and MLB clips. He misses a lot of routine and just less than routine plays though, which evens out to him being a below average or average at best fielder. Not underrated, just the opposite in fact. Wild Card
At least the actual stats make Law look stupid, Fernandez with the best breaking pitch(es) in the game: http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/11357223/mlb-five-mlb-best-pitches
