We should keep Looper

Yes, we could go out and get a reliver in June. But do you remember what we gave up to get Urbina? I dont want to go out another year and give up top prospects to get a one year rental reliver. Or soon or farm will be like the one the Red Sox have.

you do whatever it takes to win

We actually didn't give up that much for Urbina. Gonzalez is going to be a good hitter someday, but Stokes was our organizational #1 at first anyway. If you want to talk about giving up a lot, the Conine trade was a real farm system killer. Batista is going to be very good one day, and for us as a future #3-4 starter with Beckett Burnett and Penny, that would have been a lethal combination. Besides, the Urbina trade was obviously made with the intentions of winning now, so we did that. I'm just upset we didn't offer him arbitration so we could have gotten a first round pick for him when he signs with the Mets. :banghead

Im not saying we should not have traded for Uribna, but the Urbian and Conine deals all but killed our farm. We cant keep on like this remember we are a small market team and need a good farm to continue to be succesful.
