I really like monte harrison. I think he will be called up sooner than later. I think harold ramirez needs to take brinson s spot if he continues to struggle 4 another week.  Im happy that magneuris sierra is finding his groove in double a.  I say keep him there and call him up in september.  Victor victor is also showing why we gave him all that money.  Naturally he was going to have a slow start as it was over a year since he saw live pitching.  Every time i look at his box score lately im seeing hits runs and stolen bases.  He will be a perfect leadoff guy 4 us.   And jerar encarnacion and demetrious sims are going to be top 30 prospects for us this time next year.  Yes the rebuild is going slowly but our farm system is the best is has been in years

 

 

In terrible professional business fashion, two ownership groups, who seemingly hated each other, never coordinate a transitional plan. Did not care about the community or the fans. The Loria regime gave away players that would be major contributors today and he assets Jeter regime inherited they dumped for pennies on the dollar. They have both made terrible moves, and I truly believe, as much as the PR tries to spin it as a rebuild, that they both contributed in setting this franchise back 10-15 years, maybe longer. They have no bats in their system to be excited about (spare me the "Monte is a great athlete" speech). If Loria's regime would not have sold the farm for the Fernando Rodney's of the world, and Jeter would have held onto some of the best players in the game, our team would be contending for the playoffs and WS. If the only major moves we made were trading Realmuto and Int'l $$ (Yankees), this would be us:

I don't know about setting back 10-15 years, but ... yeah that rotation would have been pretty nice.

 

Stanton however had to be moved. 2018 would have basically been that offense without the rotation you lined up there, and the fire sale would have occurred this last off-season instead. Why? Exact same reason it happened the time it did. The team didn't win, and it's operating at a deficit right off the bat due how the sale of the team went down.

 

Realmuto wouldn't have been traded, by the way, with all that going on.
