January 25, 200422 yr Hey, big night for the Heat... One game back now, with the hard part of the schedule behind them. Simply put, the Heat, with where they stand right now, SHOULD make the playoffs, at least as the #8. I'm not even saying if they start playing better. I'm saying if they just play as they've played since the first few games of the year, it should be good enough to get in. The East is THAT bad. On the plus side, the Heat should only get better.

EJ: 5-7 3's, 26 points THE BAD: TOTAL TO: 19 (9 Points off of them) Wang ZhiZhi appears to be a 1 game wonder 0-3 shooting, 2 rebounds in 8 minutes. THE UGLY: Knicks did not make FG in last 3:30 Odom missed a double-double by one rebound. coincidentially, he nabbed a rebound and officials awarded it to malik.
January 25, 200422 yr Author The J was really working for Caron tonight as well as the 3-point Arc working for EJ. The problem with the Heat (and is the only that makes me doubt that they can make the playoffs) is that they're too inconsistent. Some games they play like complete crap and then some nights they come out sharp and drain shots like they're the Mavs. If only they could play like this everynight....they would be well over .500. They're also very inconsistent in quarters. Like in the 1st Quarter, they were hot and in the 2nd, they were struggling to get points on the board. Well if they can just pull out enough games played like today and yesterday, then they have a good shot at the playoffs. I wonder when Dwyane's coming back. Hopefully soon.

January 25, 200422 yr watching this game took me back a while to those old heat-knicks matchup. obviously it wasnt the same but it was great watching a tight game between these 2 teams at the garden with playoff implications. damn i still hate those a**holes
January 25, 200422 yr Congrats to all you heat fans..... This was a HUUUUUGE WIN for you guys, about as big a game as you get in the month of January considering it was at the Garden and also considering how close these teams are in the battle for the 8th and final playoff spot.
