No Problem Alkazoid.

My Moms a secretary at the Wisconsin State Department of Corrections in Chippewa Falls, and my Dad's a Marketing Advisor for small businesses in Minneapolis.

They both make about 30k a year which is very middle class, especially considering my Dad lives in Minneapolis and my Mom raises 3 kids.

I live with my Mother, and my Dad lives in Minneapolis.

My Dad is pro-Kerry. My Mom is Pro-Dean (note I accidentally said Pro-Bush, she hates Bush, she's pro-Dean). They don't volunteer for any campaign.

I did this on my own. And I don't want any credit for volunteering. I think this should be expected of people my age. But thanks for your kind words none the less.

And Alkazoid do you care to explain this then about Edwards on the issues....

Edwards was at 6% and last place the day before he arrived in Iowa and finished at 33% and 2nd Place a week after he arrived.

General Clark was at 23% and 3rd place in New Hampshire (Clark had also spent 4 months in New Hampshire), Edwards was at 3% and last place the day before Edwards arrived in New Hampshire. They finished tied for 3rd place both at 12%. Edwards shot up 9% in less then a week and Clark dropped 11% in less then a week after Edwards got there.

Edwards was expected to win South Carolina by 3-5% over Kerry. Turns out he beat Kerry by 16% in South Carolina once he got there.

Edwards was at 19% and 3rd place in Oklahoma and Clark was at 32% and 1st place the before the Oklahoma primaries, that same day Edwards went and spent a day going around Oklahoma talking to common people and the next day at the Primaries him and Clark finished tied for 1st place at 30%, he brought Clark down 2% and Edwards went up 11% in ONE DAY!

Then Edwards spent one day in Michigan and the day after he left (yesterday the day of the caucuases) he went from 6% to 15% and picked up some delegates there.

Edwards has gone from 19% 3rd place to 25% 2nd place in Virginia since he's arrived there, and from 17% 3rd place to 23% 2nd place in Tennessee since he's focused on those 2 states.

Once people have heard John Edwards message they know whats right for America and they know that John Edwards is whats right.

You say he doesn't know and isn't in touch with the common people. LOL! LOL! LMFAO! John Edwards Dad was a textile mill worker for 36 years and his Mom worked 2 jobs as a Postal Secretary and a School Secretary just to make ends meet to raise John and his siblings.

John then was the first person in the family to go to college and he got 3 degrees! 2 from N.C. State and one from North Carolina Chapel Hill.

He used student loans to pay his way through college since he didn't have the money.

John Edwards has always been middle class, he was born middle class and will die middle class. You really need to look that over.

John Edwards IS NOT A WASHINGTON INSIDER. It's funny you say he is. He's only been in Washington for 6 years. Even Dean himself has said Edwards isn't an insider. Dean's definition of an isider was made more clear on the "Today" show when Matt Lauer said this to Dean in an interview...

"Governor Dean you classified Sen. Edwards as a Washington Insider a couple days ago after the New Hampshire Primaries and-"

Dean cut him off saying this...

"Matt I've never said John Edwards was a Washington Insider, I said JOHN KERRY was. You may have gotten your "John's" mixed up. Sen. Edwards has only been in Washington for 5-6 years, hardly enough to be a Washington insider."

Matt Lauer then responded...

"Well then Governor what is your definition of a Washington insider?"

Dean replies...

"My definition of a Washington Insider is somebody who has spent the last 15-20 years plus in Washington, contradicting themselves and things like that. Sen. Edwards as I've just said hasn't been there long enough."

Edwards is NOT an insider and as Governor Dean so elequently pointed out hasn't been there long enough.

And to say John Edwards isn't in touch with the common people? Blasphemy! He's always been a common guy.

Deans been the one who was a Doctor making a couple 100k a year and then went on to be Governor. Thats not a middle class record.

Also heres a link to see how John Edwards in depth will do all 3 things as far as...

Whats Wrong

How he will fix it

How he'll pay for it

You'll see just how much he really knows, cares and will do.

John Edwards screams Carter to me.

John F. Kerry screams John F. Kennedy and y'all know the Cuban-Kennedy gripes.

Clark is a Clinton lap dog.

Lieberman looks like a clown, but is likeable to me.

Little Dickie G. was always fun to hear and a true politician.

Mr. Graham is done with politics for now and a Republican will take his Senate seat because "el mal criado" Penelas won't win out of Miami, if there at all."

hey, phlub:

I've actually supported Edwards since he announced his candidacy back last year in Late April early May.

by the way, he didn't officially announce his candidacy until september.

call me incredulous, but what would provoke a boy who just turned 14 to go and support some random politician he's never heard of IN APRIL OR MAY when he was merely an asterik in opinion polls and nobody knew anything about him (save for his trial lawyer contributors)?

i wish you'd be honest.

I started supporting GW back when he beat Richards for Gov. of Texas. She was mean and cold and he came in and brought Texas back to life. They made fun of him for being the owner of a baseball team and an oil man, but he fixed alot in Texas.

yeah, but everyone had heard of GW and you didn't go and work on his presidential campaign or anything

yeah, but everyone had heard of GW and you didn't go and work on his presidential campaign or anything not like I could. For his 2000 campaign I won an environmental debate. It was a Gore team vs. our Bush team and Gore is not a good environmental candidate.

Good question alkazoid.

George Bush provoked me.

Back in late February, early March when Bush tried to make his case for war, I really didn't like it that much, and I've always had a keen interest in whats going on in my country, but it never extended past the 5:30 National News with Tom Brokaw.

But after the War in Iraq it did. And I went and looked at all of the Presidential Candidates websites that had announced their candidacies later that spring,

Kerry, Dean, Edwards mainly.

And my Dad was debating between Edwards and Kerry (he eventually chose Kerry) but I looked into this Senator Edwards.

And I really took about 2 weeks to learn what everything had meant.

I asked my Dad tons of questions, since he Majored in Political Sciences and Small Business Economics at Drake I figured he'd know some stuff. My Dad first tried pursuing politics by running for Minnesota State Senate but decided to drop out of the race after I was born. Beside the point, so anyway I asked him what it all meant and my Dad explained in detail what everything they were talking about meant and my interest really sparked. So once I knew what everything meant I went back to their websites (Kerry and Edwards) and looked at ALL OF THE ISSUES and not just Education and Homeland Security (which were the only ones I knew a lot about) and I decided Edwards was my candidate.

And even though my Dad chose Kerry and my mother chose Dean, once I told them I was going to Campaign for John Edwards they were very supportive and my Mom even brings me door to door around my area since I'm not old enough to drive.

My Dad also brings me door to door when I go to his place in Minneapolis.

And then just last Tuesday I made an appearance on the local Public Radio Station (FM 88.3) in Eau Claire on behalf of our campaign because John Kraus the state campaign director asked me to do it and so I did.

It's been a fun experience that I'm glad I've been involved in for over a year.

Just a few days ago I went to Stevens Point, WI and Wisconsin Dells, WI on Sen. Edwards behalf talking to people since we've had a straight week of snow days.

It's been fun and even though Kerry will probably win the nomination, Edwards will run again in 2008 if Kerry doesn't win or if Kerry wins Edwards will probably be the Vice President and will run again once thats over with.

Either way Edwards will run again and I'll be waiting with him to run. But I'm doing this for one more reason.

A great man once said....

"Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country."

I admire John F. Kennedy and I figure that since I can't do my citizen duty and vote I'm gonna campaign to get Bush out of office.

Phlub, its fantastic to see a person your age be so articulate and independent minded. You seem more wise in my opinion than most of the people I meet everyday who are much older than you. That independent thought process and willingness to learn will get you very far in life. Keep it up and dont be afraid to ask the important questions.

I thank you all for the kind words.

But just because I'm 14 and campaigning and getting involved that it makes me any more remarkable then some 25 and 40 year old people that campaign as well. I'm 14 and the only difference between myself and most other campaigners is age and age is just a number as most intelligent people know.

Alkazoid Edwards candidacy wasn't made official until September, but he filed an exploratory committee (which I believe they are called) to look into it in February 2003 and started to campaign May 2003 because he made a campaign stop on June 11th in Milwaukee and I was there.

Edwards would be gore all over again cuz he certainly would not win his home state or the south. he won't get the nomination though.

I admire John F. Kennedy and I figure that since I can't do my citizen duty and vote I'm gonna campaign to get Bush out of office.

:thumbup You're my hero! Your parents most be really proud of you.

Is anyone else here campaigning for their respective candidates?

I guess for most of you it all depends on when Floridas Primary or Caucus is.

But as you probably all know by now Wisconsins is exactly a week away.

Yes and do you anticipate Dean to be there?

I think one of the candidates between

Edwards, Dean, Kerry, and Clark has to stick around otherwise nobody will be challenging Kerry.

And I'll tell you something, as ready as I am to support Kerry later this year, this dog (me) has some fight left in him and I'm gonna fight for Edwards and I don't want it to end next week in my home state.

Because then I'd be borderline depressed if the Edwards Camp ended in my homestate.
