February 10, 200422 yr horace feliu, the current mayor of the city of plesant living (aka south miami) was arrested today for election fraud. great timing: tomorrow is voting day here! can you believe that? the guy got arrested the day before the election. incredible this is great news for the city, because it appears that mary scott russell will win, a boost for south miami note: this is not the first time this has happened in south miami. i used live next door to the vice mayor of the city and he was arrested for money laundering
February 10, 200422 yr you have to think that the timing is political at least a little bit. perhaps he doesn't get along with the police chief and the dept?
February 10, 200422 yr If South Florida political history holds true, he will probably win in a landslide as a result of the arrest.
February 10, 200422 yr Author you have to think that the timing is political at least a little bit. perhaps he doesn't get along with the police chief and the dept? while he does have a strained relationship w/ the police, he was not arrested by south miami authorities...this thing has gone all the way to the state apparently becuase he took a donation that was too big, too late, and in a public building to respond to the other comment i think russell wouldve been close and this thing pushes her over the top
February 11, 200422 yr Author feliu lost before the arrest, he was up 122 after early voting today, he lost by 130 to mary scott russell
