I can't believe how high some these ERA's are. Tejera's is 5.79, Neal's is 7.59.

Jennings' is over 6! Years back if your ERA was over 4, you'd find your butt down in the minors. AND Neal just got called back up? His ERA at Albuquerque was only 2.70 though.

this is a Marlins board for Marlins fans, not closet DRays fans....

Went to the game tonight.....

 

I wondered if any of you who were watching on TV got a good look at the 2 different times Encarnacion was thrown out at the plate. The first time he was out by a mile and I can't believe Guillen sent him around third. Bad call. But the second time I thought he had beaten the tag. That was really the difference in the game to me. 2 times thrown out at the plate. Well, that and the pointless 5th run allowed for the Rockies. A walk followed by a passed ball, ground out, and sac fly = 1 run, no hits.

 

At one point, the Rockies had 5 runs on 4 hits while the Marlins finished with 4 runs on 13 hits. Enough said. Lowell 0-5, Lee 0-4, Pudge/Castro 0-4. How long can these slumps go on? It's wierd to talk about hitting slumps when the team had 14 hits, but it's still happening. 4 runs on 13 hits is not enough. If Lowell OR Lee had gotten on base AT ALL tonight, Hollandsworth and Encarnacion would have driven them in.

 

It was a nice rally in the 9th, but the Marlins lose again. By the way, yes that was another double-play Pudge hit into. It's becoming a routine.

1st time, Ozzie waived Juan because Payton bobbled the ball.......bad call

 

2nd time, Juan was safe.....he also has the habit of watching where the ball is hit....it seems to slow him down around 3rd....

 

oh well...the team showed heart tonight.... hopefully it will give us a W tomorrow
