WildMarlinMan2003
Who do you guys think will win the backup OF spots? Nunez is out of options and I like the guy. I think he'll be the #4 OF. #5 is up for grabs. It is most likely between Gerald Williams and Brian Banks. I like Williams because he has speed. As for the INF, I think Easley will be the frontrunner along with Cordero who is assured a spot. McKeon is a big fan of Mordecai because he does the little things so I'm guessing he makes the team, although Lenny Harris is a fan favorite. fishfan25
well first I think nunez will only make the team if he does better than aguila. Next I think Brian Banks will we the other OF. And last but not least easley sadly will not make the team cuz harris and mordi will make it.
WildMarlinMan2003
Nunez is almost a lock because we can't send him to AAA and he has a lot of power, which we need. Second, Easley will defiently make the team if he continues his play. I think Banks becomes the odd man out.
catchoftheday
i think the only locks are Mordi, Redmond and Cordero. Besides that the rest is up for grabs. I do want Nunez and i do want Easley, but im also a big fan of Banks (versatility) and Lenny Harris (just because suckas) to me this is how it should be (if we go with a 11 man pitching staff) Mordi Cordero Nunez Lenny Redmond If we go with a pitching staff of ten than add Easley into the mix. hmmm we do kinda need 2 utility guys ... grrr im confused
WildMarlinMan2003
Locks to make the team: 1- Castro- C 2- Redmond- C 3- Choi-1B 4- Cordero-1B/OF 5-Castillo-2B 6-Gonzalez-SS 7- Lowell-3B 8-Conine-OF 9-Pierre-OF 10-Cabrera-OF 11-Beckett-SP 12-Penny-SP 13-Willis-SP 14-Burnett-SP 15-Oliver-SP 16-Benitez-RP 17-Fox-RP The rest of the team is wide open and that includes Mordecai is on the bubble as long as Easley continues to tear it up. nc marlin
give some love to Lenny I'd like to see them offer him a special assistant job. He's great for the clubhouse but I don't really like guys who play no position(just a personal thing).

Heckeroo
someone mentioned this to me earlier, and got me thinking that lenny should make the team Who do you want batting in a clutch situation: Brian Banks, or the all time pinch hits leader, Lenny Harris. that sums it up for me

WildMarlinMan2003
Well whenever you make lists like that, you forget people. How did I forget Pavano? lol. Anyway, Lenny is much better than Banks. Easley is on the team, no doubt if he keeps it up. He is fast too.
KJC
Lenny is the man BUT i have a feeling he may retire
WildMarlinMan2003
I believe Burnett will be on the opening day roster but may just not play. I could be wrong but I think AJ will play around April 15. He could go on the 15 day DL.

WildMarlinMan2003
Lenny Harris is 2-4 with 3 RBI this spring. He's clutch and wants to play really bad this year.
Heckeroo
if he doesn't make the team, he said he'd retire but he worked real hard in the offseason and everything he even trained with JP

WildMarlinMan2003
It is between Easley, Harris, and Mordecai. Only 2 of them will make it. Easley will make it if he keeps up the power, hits, and speed. I wonder if Jack would really cut Mordecai.

Malman
You have Burnett listed twice - at #14 & 16.
DTrizzle
For some reason we just have to keep Lenny... But I do not understand why almost all of you do not include Neu....? This guy did good last year for the A's and he should be considered before a rookie since he has more experience under his belt. We know Jack is going to take Mordecai....Lenny Harris is just plain awesome, but Easley is tearing it up....and Nunez has to make it....Banks must be out unless he tears it up Is there any way that Harris, Nunez, Easley and Mordecai make it?
