  1. well...alright...i cant argue with that...but at least tell your lakers to keep their putters handy As long as Wade keeps his wheelchair handy. Wow youre a riot. What comedy club are you performing at tonight champ? awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww Can't take a joke? Maybe they'll let Wade call his own fouls, he'd probably call less then the refs. Wade: 10.5 FTA's per game Kobe: 10.0 FTA's per game. Huge difference.
  2. How do you know that? Wade takes the ball inside 36% of the time. In comparison, LeBron takes it inside 34% of the time and Kobe takes the ball inside 26% of the time. Wade's shot selection LeBron's shot selection Kobe's shot selection
  3. Nothing like an annoying mother f***ing hater who fails to see logic. If Wade wasn't fouled, the shots would go in since he would be untouched. It's only haters like you that complain. Not players or coaches, just people like you. And it it was your team, you wouldn't care either. That's it. If you don't think Wade gets more calls then anyone in the league, then you need to open your eyes. He shoots more then a free throw per game then anybody in the league. What did he shoot, 25 free throws tonight? I have said my peace, and won't spam the board up with the same argument. Good day. He also takes the ball to the basket more than any other player in the league, which is why he takes the most FTs in the league.
  4. Getting Maggette would be an awesome move for the Heat. He'd be the efficient 3rd scorer that we haven't had since EJ left.
  5. It's not that big of a deal. We're better off without Webber's 39% shooting.
  6. Nine of those wins against the 'beloved' West. More than half of our wins against the West? What?! And with regards to the way people do treat the West, I'd say that's a pretty accomplished feat. What the hell are you talking about? You have beat 1 winning team, and the teams you have beat have a combined W-L of 201-347. What does the East and West have to do with it? Way to completely ignore the post because it doesn't fit into your argument. Wade isn't the most important to his team. He's beaten bad teams, lost to bad teams, and has beat 1 good team, congrats. You seriously think that Shaq is more important to the Heat than Wade? How can you justify that? Statistically, Wade has been better than Shaq for quite a while now (as far back as the 2005 playoffs). It's not Wade's fault that we lost those games, it's the fault of our supporting cast. No other player in the league could have done as well as Wade is doing with our team right now. He creates more shots than any other player in the league, scores extremely efficiently (taking into account shooting percentages and free throws), and is a great playmaker. Also, you said earlier in this thread that you can't use records to determine how important someone is. Doesn't that contradict you pointing out the records of the teams we've beaten with Wade this year? Shaq is obviously important to this team (what team couldn't use All-Star level production at center?), but he's not better or more important than Wade. Without Wade, we're 17 points worse on average. Without Wade, we struggled mightily to beat the Hawks and the Bobcats last season (needing a great Derek Anderson performance and one of Shaq's best games of the year to beat those teams). Without Shaq (but with Wade), we can at least win 45-50 games in the East. I never said Shaq was more important then Wade. I said Wade wasn't the most important player to his team in the NBA. Who is, in your opinion?

  8. Dwyane Wade. Did people forget about the 2006 NBA Playoffs/Finals? Fantastic free throw shooter. ha He has only done it once. The ones on espn have all done it atleast 3 times. What does that mean? That D Wade should be penalized cause his team hasnt won 3 times. This is an indiviual standard and D Wade was more "clutch" in the playoffs and finals than Kobe ever was in his finals runs. lol. I remember Kobe beating the Pacers on one ankle after Shaq fouled on. The Lakers were to busy kicking the Sixers and Nets ass for the need to be clutch for Kobe. And yes, Wade should be penalized for having won 2 less titles then Kobe. Wade should be penalized for not having Shaq in his prime? Kobe should be penalized FOR having Shaq in his prime? Not penalized, but it should be acknowledged that Kobe wasn't the best player on his own team when the Lakers won those championships, and that Shaq was the main reason the Lakers dominated those 76ers and Nets series. Well clutch means that you always come through in tight situations. One championship cant really define clutch. The players mentioned by espn have been there on multiple occasions. But you can't call Kobe more clutch just because he's won more championships, when he had Shaq in his prime leading the Lakers to those championships.

    Heat @ Magic

The Heat aren't very good. The Heat aren't very good without Shaq and Wade. They weren't good with Wade, but without Shaq. When is Shaq gonna be back? We're 11-10 with Wade and without Shaq. I'd say that's better than not very good.
  12. Let's stop making excuses for Kobe's poor game. He's a selfish player, who will never be like Michael Jordan. Kobe will never win without Shaq. I do see Wade winning a title without Shaq eventually. lol ok I don't think Kobe is trying tobe Michael Jordan. However he is the best player in the NBA. Btw, Kobe is 18-10 without Shaq this year. How about Wade? No, Kobe and Odom are 13-6 together (Odom is 2-0 without Kobe). Kobe alone is 3-4, while Wade without Shaq is 11-10 this year (and that record is likely to improve considering the fact that Wade usually starts the season relatively slowly). Regardless, it's a poor argument to determine which player is better, since a player can't control his supporting cast. Wade shoots better from the field than Kobe, creates more shots, and gets more assists. Honestly, Kobe has been more so in the league of guys like Manu Ginobili and Chauncey Billups than Wade and LeBron so far this season.
  13. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. zing. Detroit stayed with the same crew for three years because it worked. After last year they realized it was time for a change because they weren't contending. So, what did they do? They fixed it. But fresh off a championship, I don't know how much is really necessary to change. Another PG, yes--maybe trade Doleac for something...but nothing big. How many championships has Detroit won since their championship? Heck, they were lucky just to make it back to the Finals the year after they won it. Also, Detroit's offseason moves didn't really fix anything (they made them worse), but that's going off topic.
  14. You have to defend your trophy with the same team that won it just 4 months ago. I don't see any logic in messing with a championship team until they prove that they can't win together. The problem is that the rest of the league isn't the same as it was 4 months ago. We should win the East easily, but Phoenix will get better if Amare is at or near his old level and Dallas gave us an incredibly tough series in the Finals that could have gone either way. There's no reason why we shouldn't have upgraded (and trading Walker would have meant an upgrade).
  15. It would be nice if we could trade Walker so that Posey could start and Wright could back him up. Instead, because Walker has to start, Wright probably won't get major minutes, even though Walker is a detriment to the team.
  16. I'd say Wade is the best, followed by LeBron, Kobe, Dirk, and KG. Wade shoots a better percentage than Kobe and gets his teammates involved more (and as a minor plus is also a better rebounder), and he outperformed LeBron in the playoffs (they were pretty much even in the regular season efficiency-wise). I don't really see how you can say that LeBron and Kobe are far better individually.
  17. I don't think Berardino has said one positive thing about the Heat or a Heat player this entire postseason. There are reasons to dislike Walker (especially his inefficiency), but this article is just idiotic.
  18. I don't think Kobe ever has or ever will approach MJ's greatness since he's not as good of a shooter as MJ was, but it's certainly possible for LeBron to end his career better than MJ. what? kobe's a f***ing machine, he can hit a shot from anywhere on the floor. also kobe's a much better shooter than Lebron yet Lebron can be better than Michael but Kobe cant? Kobe is a career 45% shooter from the field. MJ was a career 50% shooter from the field (and that's including the 2 seasons with the Wizards). I should have rephrased my post. Kobe never has and most likely will never be as efficient of a scorer as MJ was. He's a great player, but not in MJ's league. This season, Kobe's best season to date, is arguably not as good as 10 of MJ's seasons. On the other hand, LeBron is better at 21 than MJ was. He still has a long way to go, but if he continues to improve, he will be the greatest player of all time.
  19. I don't think Kobe ever has or ever will approach MJ's greatness since he's not as good of a shooter as MJ was, but it's certainly possible for LeBron to end his career better than MJ.
  20. Tough to tell, but they would be a lot worse without him.
  21. Again, I believe that LeBron, Wade, Kobe, Dirk, Brand, and Billups were more valuable to their teams than Nash. Like I said, Nash benefited from the system in Phoenix more than anything. Marion had just as much to do with their success (especially on the defensive end).
