Wright did NOTHING April as he was adjusting to his new swing. Count his stats since May at least, because he didnt even have a HR in April and has close to 20 now. A new swing and defense :lol Miguel is definitely a better offensive player then David minus the speed but we all know how great Cabrera isnt defensively, so you know i'm taking DDub. Wright has saved 9 runs this year above what an average player might have. Cabrera has saved 1 above the average. (For comparison's sake, Zimmerman is at 13, Rolen at 10, Arod 7, and Chipper Jones at -7). Thats a pretty big difference, but Cabrera still rates as a sightly above average third baseman. Now, for Batting Runs Above Average Cabrera is at 43 and Wright is at 29. So a much larger gap. If you'd like a stat that takes into account Wright's admittedly ridonculous stolen base abilities, EQA has Wright at .309 (.260 is average, or David Eckstein) and Cabrera is at .337. In short, you'd have to be an absolute moron to choose Wright over Miguel. I'm a mets fan on a marlins forum, why would I chose Miguel? And I thought the quality of any given player was defined by what they did on the field and not by your team affiliation_call it fandom if you will.I guess you do live in a different reality than the rest of us.What you said is the equivalent of a Rays fan saying that Wigginton is a better player than A-Rod because he is a Rays fan.Unbelievable,the things you read in these forums... :blink:

Mr. Willis,if you are out there and can read this: Please call Mark Wiley because I am pretty sure he can help you out. Kranitz sucks. That's all. Mark Wiley was my choice to remain as pitching coah years ago. But I can't see why Rick is getting so much hatred right now. He did a fantastic job last year and is doing what he can with a makeshift starting rotation this year. And his bull pen is, for the most part, lights out. Kranitz does not suck. By any stretch of the imagination. I just read where he is going back to tapes of '03 and '05 to watch what DTrain was doing then and seeing what the difference is. trelle has a mechanical problem. And it will be worked out. When it is will you Rick bashers be here saying what a fine job he did correcting the problem or will all the credit go to DTrain??? Just wondering out loud. Kranitz is far from good. A good pitching coach would have taken charge at least two months ago when Willis started getting shelled in in general not being his usual self.It may be a bit late to help him much this year but I think most of us wish it was Wiley here right now. So does Kranitz get any props for how well the youngsters pitched last year? Or how about Mitre this year? Or the bullpen? Just wondering how this point system works Just pointing out the fact that he waited until now to watch videos from back when D-Train was doing well. With Wiley working for the Colorado Sherpas, would him giving D-Train advice A)Be a conflict of interest or B)Piss Kranitz off? I personally dont care if Kranitz's feelings get hurt, but dont want to see Wiley get reprimanded. They get shell shocked. I love it how we score runs in the 9th when we are down by 4/5/6 runs but when we are down by 1/2 runs we roll over and die. Argh.... they need to be smacked. Well this has definitely been a trend that's gone on for the last 2 weeks or so and it's a mistery to me. Maybe they all need to be bitch-slapped back to reality.

The fact that this team can get so many runners on base,all the time,only to fail to bring them home with a base hit.It does not make any sense at all how they can be so good at getting on base and even better at getting stranded!!! :banghead
